As a constituent who has seen the impact of long ADHD waiting times locally, I am asking you to support the implementation of the Independent ADHD Taskforce's recommendations, now that Parts 1 and 2 have been published.

Commissioned by NHS England in 2024, the Taskforce was created to tackle rising ADHD demand, lengthy waits, and gaps across health, education, employment, and justice. Its final report (Part 2, November 2025) makes clear that inaction carries significant social and economic costs, including an estimated £17 billion a year to the UK economy.

The report offers a practical, evidence-based plan. In particular, please press for action to:
• Deliver joined-up work across departments (DHSC, DfE, DWP, MoJ, MHCLG).
• Ensure ADHD waiting times reach parity with physical health services.
• Embed ADHD support in Best Start family hubs and early-years provision.
• Strengthen school programmes and direct links to health services.
• Develop integrated youth wellness hubs for 11–24 year-olds.
• Introduce national training and competency standards across sectors.
• Regulate and monitor ADHD services with Care Quality Commission oversight.

My request:
Please raise this in Parliament and ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care to confirm how and when the Government will implement the Taskforce's recommendations, and when a formal response and implementation plan will be published.
